March Birth Day Party

I am a man of many hobbies, I guess I would put Computers as the main one, but one I have had for a  long time is Ham Radio. I have an Amateur Extra Class License, the Top License. My Amateur Radio Call Sign is KE5L. I am not real active, but have been getting on the Air more via a Computer/Radio hookup called Echo Link. I won't bore you with the details, readers who are hams will already know and the rest of you will not be interested.

I also have a great interest in Photography. I took up photography at an early age, about 14, when I was sixteen I landed a job on the Local Newspaper as a Photographer. After I got out of the Air Force, I went back to work for the newspaper again. To make a long story short, I ended up in Houston Texas working for a commercial photographer, just barely making a living as the Rent I was paying there was better than half my salary. I quit photography for quite a while, but have taken it up again. I now take more pictures than I did at that time, maybe the grandkids and great grandkids have something to do with that.

I have an interest in Guns that date back to my birth (well, almost). My favorite gun is my Thompson Center Contender. I have several barrels, but my favorite is the 223. I have shot groups the size of a quarter at 100 yards. Sure wish I could do that all the time.

Hunting, I have almost given up on, as the cost has gotten so high due to hunting clubs. I was never very good at it anywMy First Deeray, I can't seem to sit still long enough, when I do, I go to sleep, ha ha. I did kill my first deer a couple of years ago, see. I shot this deer with a Custom built (by me) Sweedish Mauser 6.5 x 55mm. This rifle will place consecutive shots the size of a dime at 100 yards. I shot this deer at about 75 yards, one shot.

But my interest in computers borders on religion, work and play. All of which give me a good excuse to spend more time with them.

My latest hobby, skeet shooting. These pictures were taken during a Benefit Shoot for Special Children at the State Line Skeet Range south of Crossett Ark on the Arkansas/Louisiana border.
